Been doing some research and looking around, turns out it's a Waltham pocket watch, 9 carrot pure gold, made in Massachusis (spelling) in 1917, which means it was made in the same year USA declared war with Germany  . The casing is from "Dennison Watch Case co" and it's "ALD" which prooves it's deffo gold and not plated silver/bronze etc. It's also fucking heavy. Could be worth a bangtidy amount Thought i'd let you all know how fucking ace my day is going  |

My grandma gave it to my mum to sell so technically i didn't find it...i don't know why but apparently it's not really sentimental as they hardly knew him; there's another 2 watches with them that were my Grandads and they aren't being sold, so it's swings and roundabouts really Plus, i'd go for a "No fear" energy drink, so it's not really fizzy pop  |

I always think when I go to Sunday markets I will uncover a Claris Cliff and get it for 50p but I always end up with a footy autobiography and various Barbie/WWE artifacts. I did get John Barnes' autobiography for 30p HARDBACK in Ormskirk years ago. Not quite stumbling across a Monet for twenty quid but I was happy  |
