Right, as most of you know i'm currently signed off sick awaiting my fate in the company.
Within my company are adecco, who manage the staff, IBM who manage the department and sky>>>virgin manager who manage the whole fault team.
Now there is meant to be a confidentiallity agreement between the three companies, so that if I hand Adecco my sicknote, they inform my department manager and he informs my line manager...it should go no futher.
A collegue of mine heard a convo yesterday.
(sky>>>virgin media staff) "has thomas gone yet"
(McDonalds management) "not yet, he's off sick"
(sky>>>virginmedia staff) "That's what they all say when they're going to get sacked"
(McDonalds management) I know yeah
(sky>>>virginmedia staff) Will he be coming back
(McDonalds management) "not on this floor"
This has made me furious on so many levels
1) Discussing my illness in earshot of other people
2) IMB staff knowing my possible fate, when I haven't even attended my disciplinary yet.
This proves that IBM have influence in who gets sacked and who doesn't, something which Adecco insist doesn't happen.
Luckily the girl is putting herself on the line and her statement is now in the hands of the union, who are going to suggest that mmy case gets brushed under the carpet due to the obvios influence by other members of staff.
